Review of Cuisinart DLC-8SY Food Processor (11 cup, Stainless Steel)

Cuisinart DLC-2009CHB Prep 9 9-Cup Food Processor

And why should you trust me, you might wonder, right?

I worked as a Quality Assurance Manager in a home appliances factory for years before I decided that corporate life just isn’t for me and I’ve been doing these reviews and running this website ever since. I hope that covers the trust area 🙂

Here’s what I’ll do in this review:

  1. Objectively analyze specifications of the product
  2. Take into consideration users reviews, both positive and negative
  3. Try to summarize all of my impressions and give the final judgment of this product

See more pictures and customer ratings here on amazon.

So, let us begin!

Specifications – the fact sheet:

  1. This product is not only safe to use in the dishwasher, but the lexan work bowl is basically unbreakable
  2. In order to guarantee the correct dough consistency the processor adjusts the speed automatically
  3. All the parts are safe to wash in your dishwasher , and it also comes with a complete how-to DVD, a spatula, and booklet with recipes and instructions
  4. The wide Supreme tube can hold whole fruit and vegetables
  5. The processor is up to Electrical Standards of North America

Pros of this product according to end users:

  • It looks smooth and is very easy to clean! It looks so good in my kitchen…it seems to be the last food processor I’ll ever need!
  •  Now I can make home-made food for my baby-without waking her up…My last food processor made her scream, and she cannot even notice when this one is on…
  • It is a very tough and slick utensil, attractive and rather quiet. Since I cook every night, this will help me chop up stuff super fast at any time of the night…
  • I’ve owned my fair share of kitchen utensils, and most of them broke really fast or didn’t to a really good job while they were still functioning properly, but not with this one…this processor makes baking, food preparation and cooking a walk in the park…
  • I used this food processor for making ice cream, and I can tell you that you do not need that $50 device. I used fruit ONLY and it came out all fine and creamy. It does wonders with nuts too, unlike my last food processor.
  • It can even be used for making your own seed or nut flour. I can’t wait to see what else this baby can do…
  • It cut down my prep time in half…I use it daily and it’s so easy to store and even easier to clean…
  • This food processor arrived in great shape and on time. It is fast and efficient, and it comes apart in seconds for easy cleaning. The pieces are always neatly and evenly cut…
  • you can buy it online at amazon and have it with you in a couple of days.

Cons of this product according to end users:

  • The instruction manual is not as clear as it should be, and I’m the type of guy that doesn’t like to read or watch through detailed instructions, so I almost broke it when I first tried it out…
  • This was my first food processor in years, so I needed some time to figure it all out and get used to it…
  • I’m not happy to give any Cuisinart product such a low rating since I enjoyed them so far, but the motor is either too strong or I am just doing something wrong..
  • It is very sturdy but too heavy for me to move around, so I can just keep it on my kitchen counter.

My food processor review resume:

Cuisinart DLC-2009CHB Prep 9 9-Cup Best Food ProcessorSo, we’ve arrived at the very end of our short journey, and it is time to rate this machine, and help you decide will this be that last element that will make your kitchen feel like home!

First of all, the design is very smooth and minimal, so it will fit into nearly every kitchen, and you won’t even notice when it’s on. Not for those who like colorful and custom-made appliances.

It gravitates toward heavy machinery, but it’s still practical, easy to clean, assemble and use, yet it packs a very powerful motor under that slick exterior, which is surprisingly very quiet. So, this is one beast that actually purrs, rather than roars!

The company also offers a 10-year motor warranty and a 3-year food processor warranty, and so far there have been only words of praise on the punctuality and efficiency of the customer service representatives, even when a problem did occur.

Deciding whether this is the best food processor for your needs is up to you, but overall, this product offers great value for money.

Cuisinart DFP-14BCN 14-Cup Food Processor review

Is Cuisinart Model DFP-14BCN the best food processor?

Cuisinart DFP-14BCN 14-Cup Food Processor

You certainly don’t want to miss out on anything, and you don’t want to be tricked into buying something that you don’t really need, either.

But I’m here to help you.

I used to work as a Quality Assurance Manager in a factory of small appliances for little over 10 years, and I can really tell what product is worth your time and money, and which is simply a piece of cheap plastic and scrap metal put together.

Before we continue, let us take a look at the structure of this review:

  1. We’ll list all of the product specifications
  2. Then we’ll take a better look at the PROs and CONs – from the perspective of the end user
  3. In conclusion, we’ll give this product our final grade and see if you get your money’s worth by buying this product

Let’s begin with the specifications of this food processor:

  • 720-watt powerful motor
  • Lexan bowl of generous 14-cup capacity; separate on and off/pulse buttons
  • Stainless-steel dough blade, slicing and shredding disc, chopping blade
  • Dishwasher-safe parts; the feed tube is extra wide
  • Spatula, instruction and recipe book and a video How-to included
  • Built to fits Electrical Standards of North America

Now for the positive end user reviews:

  • For such a powerful motor, you can barely notice it’s on. That’s really great because we have a baby in our home and wouldn’t like to be able to use this processor only when she’s up.
  • Definitely the smartest investment I’ve made in a while.. It works great even on more difficult food like cheese, nuts, herbs..
  • This is the best food processor I’ve had so far. It’s easy to assemble and take apart and makes chopping a breeze.
  • So far I’ve used it for bread, meatballs, slicing and chopping carrots, brownies, cookies strawberries, potatoes, cucumbers, making breadcrumbs, pesto, hummus, salsa.. You name it! It did a great job and gave me consistent results each and every time.
  • I’ve been married for 15 years now, and I wish I got it for our first anniversary.. It would’ve saved me hours of time and trouble over the course of thousands of dinners I’ve prepared so far..
  • It saves me so much time and money because now I shred my own cheese and bring my own lunch to work. The cleaning part is a breeze too.
  • It’s so simple and easy to use, and it does a great job. The cleaning and storing part, along with the food processing, rarely take over 5 minutes. I couldn’t be happier with this product.
  • For us first-time food processor users, the how-to DVD and a booklet of recipes was greatly appreciated. It looked much more complicated than it actually is.
  • I will never ever make a pie crust, bread, cookie dough or pizza dough without it. The dough has such a perfect consistency, and my kitchen is mess-free. I really do not know how I lived in the pre-Cuisinart era..
  • I’m a chef, so I’m pretty fast with a knife, and a food processor at home doesn’t make much of a difference to me, but I use this model at work, and it’s such a life-saver. Sometimes I even give in and use it for food preparation when I’m tired.
  • I really like the safety lock mechanism. It’s really easy to close the bowl shut and open it again once it’s done. It also doesn’t bounce or dance around the kitchen counter when on, which is obviously a plus.
  • I’m really pleased with this purchase. It did everything it promised it would on the box, and even exceeded my expectations when it comes to grating hard cheese. Such a powerful machine and the blades are razor-sharp too.
  • Get a good deal at Amazon

Now for the negative end user reviews:

  • I needed this product for a job I had to do like yesterday, and I needed a work bowl of exactly 14-cup capacity. I didn’t take in the fact that most of these have a maximum that is lesser than their bowl capacity. No time to return it, I’ll have to make two batches..
  • Mine arrived with a chip on the work bowl. I contacted Cuisinart, and they sent me a replacement, and it both looks and works great now.
  • The lid of the work bowl broke just before the warranty expired, and it took the customer service 5 days to send me a new one.
  • The food processor won’t start if the bowl is not in the exactly right position..

Now for my final grade of this food processor:

Cuisinart DFP-14BCN 14-Cup best Food ProcessorHere we are after everything has been said about this product.

Now the only thing that remains for me to do is to use all of my knowledge and experience as an ex Quality Assurance Manager and summarize my impressions of this product.

Firstly, it is really well-made and high-quality product, especially at such an affordable price.

The only thing you should figure out on your own are the logistics of use the locking mechanism of the bowl, that was made in such a way for safety purposes, but good folks from Cuisinart should always have in mind the best interest and comfort of end users.

It’s still a solid investment into your culinary future.

Cuisinart Mini-Prep Processor DLC-1BCH – Full Review and Buyer Ratings

Cuisinart DLC-1BCH Mini-Prep Processor

As a former Quality Assurance Manager, who worked in a factory of small appliances for 8 years, I can definitely claim that I’ve seen what a truly well-made mini food processor looks and feels like when it’s on.. and what’s a weakling that will die on you the first time you try to make something harder than a soup.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves and let’s do this by the book.

First, let’s see how this review will work:

  1. I’ll list all of the product specifications
  2. Together, we’ll take into very careful consideration end user reviews, both positive and negative ones

  • I’m very happy with this mini food processor, it’s really easy to handle and even easier to clean. It does great job without overheating. It’s very quiet too.
  • It doesn’t overheat like my last food processor, and you can barely notice it’s on. Great for home-made baby food and salads.
  • I cook for two and it’s just what I was looking for. It does what it’s supposed to. It’s very quick and efficient for such a small thing.
  • I like using the pulse button every ten seconds or on my vegetables, and results are great. They don’t get mushy and you can just pop an egg into it as easily, and there’s a healthy meal for you.
  • It cut my prep time significantly; I’m going to be eating more home-made food from now on. I’m going to go easy on junk food and try a healthier life style since I have this mini food processor to help me out…
  • It’s easy to use, store and clean…
  • Very sharp and swift blade, it looks like it was made to last. The mini food processor looks really sturdy and well-made as well. It’s super easy to clean because everything comes apart. It’s really light and easy to store….

  • I’ve had this Cuisinart for almost 10 years now and no complaints so far. Still looks and works as good as new. I will definitely buy another one when this one finally fails me…
  • see price

And now for negative reviews as per end users:

  • I’m managing a 5 people household, and I don’t like that I usually have to make two portions of sauce or salsa with this one. I guess I didn’t realize how small it was…
  • It works OK, but I’m more of a traditional guy and I prefer chopping and dicing by hand. I simply ended up using my old knife and board again…
  • The product is OK, but it took 3 days to ship…
  • It chops too thinly. I bought it to make small ½-1 inch vegetables cubes for my dog, and he won’t eat these pieces…

The food processor review resume:

Cuisinart DLC-1BCH Mini-Prep Processor reviewNow that we’ve covered the basics and went over a series of end user stories regarding this product, it’s time to rate this product.

First of all, it is really powerful and made out of high-quality materials, but it’s still a mini unit, so, naturally, it doesn’t have all the features a regular size food processor has.

This little unit is most adequate for 2 people household, but any amount of food for more than 3 people would require more batches or a bigger processor.

If this size suits you, you will definitely get exactly everything that you need.
